Late 4th of July post by A’mari

Hey guys , it’s A’mari from TFN and on the 4th of July it was a different experience for me . Being in another country has really showed me how to appreciate what I have back home . The 4th of July is important to Americans because it’s the day the United States got its independence and makes Americans enjoy what America has yet to become. We went to school on our 4th of July in Costa Rica and enjoyed a small activity to represent the American flag. Since I’ve been in Costa Rica , the most interesting thing that happened to me was zip lining and meeting new people. I have been to the restaraunt called creperie and cafe entre nous in Heredia . I soooo recommend it if you haven’t tried crepes or want a good breakfast ! During the stay in Costa Rica , the culture differs a lot with how people interact and how the city operates as a whole. In Costa Rica since the 4th of July is an American thing , it’s not celebrated. Being in another country and speaking Spanish has been fun and interesting. I love the atmosphere of the people and the care free attitude of the people. The food has been different. I have learned that  the city of Heredia is culturally different and the people come from different parts of the world. Overall , I enjoyed my stay at Costa Rica from the school to the farewell dinner and wish I could do it all again with the same people , I had fun and can’t wait to tell stories when I get home.
