What a wonderful country!!!
Hello parents and students, I am Alejandro Medina. I want to share some of my experiences of this wonderful trip to Costa Rica. Costa Rica is such a stunning, magnificent country filled with culture and traditions. I have only been here for two days and I am really enjoying myself. The day I arrived to Heredia, I was excited and nervous to see my host mom. She is such a kind, hearted woman with so much energy and positivity that roams around other people. She makes me laugh with her hilarious jokes and she tells very intriguing stories about her personal life. My host mom really wants my roommate and I to have a good time at Costa Rica for the next two weeks. I can go on and on about my host mom, but I also want to talk about the sites I have visited the past two days. On Sunday, the students and I took a tour around the beautiful town of Heredia. We have such a lovely, informative tour guide guiding us all around the town. Heredia is extremely different from the United States, but that is not a bad thing. I have noticed that Heredia does not have street names, so it might be difficult to maneuver around the town. I can call Heredia a green town because there are many tropical plants with such vibrant colors. I am glad that I came to Costa Rica during the month of June because it is the start of the rainy season which means that many plants are alive and thriving with all the rain. During the dry months of Costa Rica, I have heard that many of the plants do not look as beautiful than the plants during the rainy season. I really just enjoy a great walk with nature all around me. Lastly, I tried an exotic fruit called a "mamona"; not sure how to translate that word in English but it was really good. The fruit had a weird texture, but it was an enjoyable little fruit. I am excited for the activities and classes that the ISA director has in store for us. We have wonderful teachers and the ISA administration making this trip great. I hope my fellow travelers are having a great time as well. Pura Vida!!!
Thank you for sharing these nice pictures Alejandro. I hope yo continue to try new things while you're there. Enjoy 😊
